Melanie Cant
Social Housing Law Expert, Barrister, Faciliator
For me everyday is a school day. If you’re not learning, you’re not improving and providing the best service that you can. Impactful training has a huge role to play in this. If your training makes just one person help someone else in a meaningful way then, for me, it is worth it. That’s the worth of great training and why everyone should know that it exists and who provides it, so I would encourage you to enter.
Melanie Cant trained as a barrister and called to the Bar in 2000. Melanie has worked in frontline social housing services for over 25 years, undertaking reviews, providing consultancy and training. Melanie work with predominantly frontline officers helping them understand in a practical way the legalities of the services they provide, whilst working with corporate teams to ensure they provide excellent and deliverable objectives.
According to one of Melanie’s clients “Everyone needs a Mel Cant on speed dial!” Melanie passionately believe that everyone deserves a safe and warm place to live.
Melanie loves anything done outside, from horse riding and mountain biking, to dog walking and gardening. Melanie and her friends raise money annually for Children in Need through a charity bike ride. Melanie also enjoys being involved in her community, having been a school governor at her local primary and a parish councillor.
